1. OUR CORE PROMISE
At Redacted, anonymity is not a policy; it is a technical architecture. We guarantee that no individual employee can be identified from their participation in an interview session, and no individual verbatim response will ever be attributable to the person who spoke it.
We understand that for an employee listening platform to yield honest signal about workplace friction, employees must feel completely secure. This page outlines exactly how our systems protect your identity.
2. THE FIVE PILLARS OF ANONYMITY
Our platform employs five independent controls to separate your input from management reporting:
Pillar 1: No Login Required
You do not need an account, a password, or a corporate email to participate. You join the interview via a unique, tokenized link. There is no identifying information tied to your session before it even begins.
Pillar 2: Ephemeral Audio
The interview is conducted via voice, but the audio itself is never stored. It is transcribed in real-time by our AI, and the audio stream is permanently destroyed immediately after transcription. No recording exists to be reviewed, subpoenaed, or leaked.
Pillar 3: Transcript Redaction (PII Scrubbing)
Before any transcript data is analyzed, it passes through our Natural Language Processing (NLP) pipeline. This system automatically scans for and redacts Personally Identifiable Information (PII), including:
- Proper names (of yourself, colleagues, or managers)
- Specific dates or highly specific project titles
- Any other identifiable markers
Pillar 4: The Aggregation Lock
No individual transcripts are ever shown to management. Furthermore, team-level or department-level findings are strictly locked behind an aggregation threshold.
- Minimum 5 Participants: A report is only generated for a specific department or team if at least 5 employees from that group have completed an interview.
- If fewer than 5 people participate, that group’s data is merged into the broader organizational findings and no group-specific report is generated. This prevents “process of elimination” identification in small teams.
Pillar 5: Pattern-Level Reporting
The final Diagnostic Report delivered to management and leadership contains only aggregated themes and patterns. For example, it will highlight that “Communication breakdowns are causing delays,” but it will not provide the raw underlying sentences that led to that conclusion if they could compromise identity.
3. WHAT MANAGEMENT CANNOT DO
To be absolutely clear, here is what your employer cannot do using Redacted:
- They cannot listen to your voice recording (it does not exist).
- They cannot read your individual, unredacted transcript.
- They cannot see exactly who has or hasn’t completed the interview.
- They cannot generate a report for a team of 4 or fewer people.
- They cannot map a specific piece of feedback to a specific employee ID.
