Redacted is an anonymous employee listening platform that uses AI-led voice interviews to help People and business leaders diagnose recurring workplace friction across teams, managers, communication, workload, and processes. Unlike employee engagement surveys that produce sentiment scores, Redacted delivers structured friction reports and recommended interventions. It is designed for C-suite executives, VP People, and business leaders at modern organizations.
Traditional employee surveys measure sentiment and produce scores. Redacted diagnoses friction: it surfaces specific, recurring operational problems across teams and managers, and recommends concrete interventions. It is not a better version of the employee survey. It is a different tool designed to answer the question surveys cannot: what is specifically breaking down, where, and what should be done about it.
Redacted uses five independent privacy controls: no-login participation via tokenized link, ephemeral audio deletion immediately after transcription, automated transcript redaction of personally identifiable information, threshold-based aggregation locks (reports unlock only when five or more employees in a department participate), and pattern-level reporting only. No individual verbatim is attributable, and no individual is identifiable in any output.
No. Employees participate in Redacted interviews through a tokenized link. No login, no email address, no employee ID, and no credentials are required. This design removes a key barrier to authentic participation and is central to Redacted's privacy architecture.
The Action Center is the intervention layer in the Redacted platform. When a friction pattern is identified across multiple interview cycles in a team, the Action Center recommends specific responses: manager coaching prompts, process adjustments, escalation paths, or communication frameworks. Business or team leads can log what action they took, and subsequent interview cycles are compared against the baseline to measure whether friction decreased.
No. Redacted does not track, score, or flag individual employees. It surfaces friction patterns at a population level across departments, teams, and functions, not at an individual level. Audio is permanently deleted post-transcription. Reports contain no individual verbatim that could identify a speaker. Redacted's output is organizational diagnosis, not employee monitoring.
Redacted is designed for modern organizations. It is most effective at companies experiencing growth-stage coordination challenges, post-reorg confusion, or recurring attrition in specific teams. In smaller organizations, friction is typically visible through direct management.
Redacted serves a different purpose than annual engagement measurement. Many teams run Redacted alongside their existing annual survey, using the annual survey for broad trend data and Redacted to diagnose specific operational problems the survey scores cannot explain. The two tools serve different questions and different timelines.
